Jazz on the Tube – George Benson: "Affirmation"

He was a high school drop-out, who got his first jazz gig playing
straight-ahead instrumental jazz with blues organist Jack McDuff.

At the age of 21, Benson recorded The New Boss Guitar, his first album
as a band leader, featuring McDuff.

He went on to perform with Miles Davis, Al Jarreau, and record a well-known version of "Here Comes the Sun."
